Dime Savings Bank of Williamsburgh is a financial institution located in Brooklyn, New York. Its primary products are savings accounts, checking accounts, and real estate loans. It is listed on NASDAQ with the ticker symbol DCOM and officially registered with the name Dime Community Bancshares, Inc.
Incorporated April 19, 1864, the bank opened for business on June 1 of that year, in the basement of the First National Bank building. In 1908, the Dime Savings Bank of Williamsburgh took possession of the now-historic building, near the base of the Williamsburg Bridge, at the corner of Havemeyer Street and South Fifth Street which serves as its headquarters.
Aside from its headquarters in Williamsburg, it has 25 branches spread across the New York metropolitan area in Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Nassau.
